Longines opened its first UK boutique in London yesterday with the help of brand ambassador and Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet.
The boutique opened at 411 Oxford Street was officially opened by Winslet, the Swatch Group-owned brand’s ‘ambassador of elegance’.
Longines also chose the occasion to officially launch its Symphonette collection, which was Highly Commended in WatchPro’s Women’s Watch of the Year last month, precisely for its modern elegance and vintage influences.
The 124m sq boutique boasts tall windows and mahogany displays which contrast against the soft, cream interior colours.
With the latest collections featurd on the ground floor while a VIP area offering comfort and privacy is available downstairs.
Winslet spent the afternoon in the store with Longines’ vice president of international marketing Juan-Carlos Capelli, who said: “We’re delighted to offer our customers a destination where they can choose from the best selection of Longines timepiece in London. Longines is committed to growing our network of boutiques in key retail spaces around the world and we are very proud of our presence on London’s most famous shopping street – offering Longines huge visibility in the UK market.”
