John Lewis secures exclusive Vector model

UK-based smart watch brand Vector has created a new model that will be exclusive to John Lewis until the end of December.

The brushed stainless steel Luna model with padded leather strap will only be available through the department store, both instore and online for the next month, priced at £249. The retailer will also be offering a selected range of other Vector models, which all boast industry-leading battery life, through its website.

Harry Boughton, tablets and computing buyer at John Lewis, said: “We pride ourselves on
offering our customers the very latest in technology. Vector has pushed the boundaries of wearable technology with the Luna smartwatch and we’re delighted to be bringing this innovative product exclusively to our customers. Delivering style and functionality in equal measure, the Luna wouldn’t look out of place alongside our collection of sophisticated wrist wear, yet comes with the added bonus of intuitive smart technology.

“Over the past few years, wearables have really come into their own. We’ve seen a 500%
increase in sales of smartwatches this year and expect all forms of wearable technology to be important Christmas gifts this year.”

Vector recently announced that it had attracted a further US $5million of funding from Bucharest-based GECAD Group, Catalyst Romania and a group of high net worth individuals. GECAD, an early stage technology investor, has been the brand’s largest single shareholder for some time.
