IWC goes gold for its two most complicated watches

IWC Schaffhausen has created limited edition 18ct red gold collectors’ editions for its two most complicated timepieces.

Only 50 of the Ingenieur Constant-Force Tourbillon (Ref. IW590002) will be made, while the Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month (Ref. IW379203) is limited to 100 pieces.

The IWC Ingenieur Constant-Force Tourbillon has a double moon phase display for northern and southern hemispheres; a countdown display showing phases until next full moon; a tourbillon with integrated constant-force mechanism; a Glucydur beryllium alloy balance with high-precision adjustment cam on balance arms; a screw-in crown and see-through sapphire-glass back.

The Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month features a perpetual calendar together with a digital date display and leap year indicator. Every night, when the date display advances, the integrated IWC quick-action switch siphons off a little of the energy, stores it and then discharges it precisely at the end of the month.
