Inter-City Group brings Kenzo to the UK

Watches from Parisian fashion house Kenzo have launched in the UK exclusively into Selfridges.

Birmingham-based Inter-City Group is handling the distribution of the new collection of Kenzo timepieces which pays homage to the 1970s, the decade that saw the launch of the jungle-inspired brand by designer Kenzo Takada.

Takada launched his first boutique in Paris in the 70s, while current creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim have been credited with reviving the original, unpredictable spirit of the label by taking inspiration from travel, art and culture as well as fashion.

The new Kenzo watches are described as “daring, striking, colourful and distinctly unique” with each featuring a running tiger across a heritage version of the logo that originally appeared on the brand’s first watch collection, Kenzo Time, more than three decades ago.

Divided into Design-to-Wear, Iconic, Dix Huit and global best selling Tiger Head watches, the collection uses the latest finishes and materials to reflect the brand’s avant-garde collaborations with artists, musicians and designers. The timepieces are available in UK priced at £89 – £229.
