Indulge in fine watches and wines at June’s Luxury Week in London

Global auction house Christie’s is hosting a Luxury Week in London next month that will feature a sale of top end timepieces among other events dedicated to fine jewellery, rare wines and classic handbags and accessories.

“Luxury is a growth category for Christie’s with an increase in registrants year-on-year and the highest proportion of new buyers. Luxury Week in London is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the breadth that Christie’s has to offer, from wine to watches, jewellery to handbags, and with prices ranging from £200 to £450,000, we truly have something for every type of buyer,” says Aline Sylla-Walbaum, global managing director, luxury at Christie’s.

The Luxury Week runs from June 6 to 13, with an exhibition of watches up for sale from private collections open throughout the event.

Christie’s says watch lovers will be able to see a carefully curated variety of timepieces from the most celebrated watch manufactures including Rolex, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet. There will be vintage classics as well as modern production models with prices ranging upwards of £20,000.

If you want to celebrate the purchase of a £20,000 timepiece with an appropriate tipple, the Finest & Rarest Wines and Spirits sale on June 7 will allow you to buy 12 bottles of Petrus 1982 Bordeaux with an estimate of £28,000-£38,000 and two bottles of Romanée-Conti Grand Cru 1999 Burgundy with an estimate of £20,000-£30,000.
