IN VIDEO: Morten Linde on the Oktopus Moonlite White

Linde

Linde Werdelin co-founder Morten Linde discusses the brand’s new iridescent Oktopus MoonLite – White and the decisions that went into its creation.

Danish designer Linde, explains that the pair opted for a colourless version of the lightweight ALW alloy it uses against the advice of their supplier. The alloy is then subjected to a 25 micron treatment, five times thicker than the more standard watch PVD coating, which bonds with the porous ALW creating an incredibly hard, scratch-resistance lightweight case material.

Linde goes on to explain that the colourless ALW reflects different colours depending on its environment which is why it is perfectly suited to the Oktopus collection.
