IN VIDEO: Maurice Lacroix launches design league

Maurice Lacroix has launched an online watch design competition offering fans of the brand the chance to share their own watch designs and potentially win the actual piece they have created.

Maurice Lacroix has launched a microsite that allows watch fans to design their own timepieces based on its Pontos chronograph with numerous customisation options.

Visitors are able to design their own watch and then share the finished design through social media whilst seeking votes. The five designs with the highest number of votes will be created by Maurice Lacroix and presented to the winning designers.

The competition stems from the Swiss watch manufacturer’s partnership with FC Barcelona that has seen 24 squad players design their own Maurice Lacroix watches in a design studio set up at the Camp Nou, which have been created by the brand.

While the players have already been presented with their bespoke watches, 24 duplicate pieces have also been created that will be the subject of a world tour exhibition travelling throughout Europe, the US, Middle East and Asia.
