Jack heuer

IN VIDEO: Jack Heuer – the Times of My Life

The film celebrates the extraordinary life of Jack Heuer, the great-grandson of Heuer founder Edouard Heuer, who until his retirement late last year was the company’s honorary chairman.

As the 17-minute short film documents, it was Jack’s drive, determination and vision that transformed the Heuer watch company from a minor Swiss watchmaker into one of the world’s most recognisable brands.

From the thrill of pioneering a relationship with Formula 1 in the 1960s and 1970s, to the agony of losing control of the company in the early 1980s, it details the fascinating highs and lows of his career, as well as many of the pivotal decisions he made as a marketer, designer and businessman during his 50-year involvement with the famous marque.

Stéphane Linder, chief executive officer, TAG Heuer, said: "Jack was and remains an extraordinary man. We’re delighted to present this film as a celebration of his unique contribution not just to TAG Heuer, but also to the Swiss watch industry. We made this film because we wanted a lasting record of his vision, ambition, endeavour and enthusiasm. It is a moving tribute to his remarkable achievements."
