HYT has produced a video starring Formula E racing driver Jean-Eric Vergne to showcase its new H4 Metropolis, a mechanical watch with a built-in light source.
The H4 Metropolis features two LEDs that are powered by a dynamo and activated by means of a second crown with pusher at the half-past four position. The crown is used to wind a second barrel reserved solely for providing a power source to the light function.
The 51mm titanium watch is bathed in blue light once the second crown is depressed until the second barrel is completely depleted. The light also serves to energise the watch’s luminous fluid, which marks the progress of hours in a system unique to HYT.
