IN VIDEO: 1million hits for Watchfinder Rolex film

A video of Watchfinder & Co’s head watchmaker servicing a Rolex Submariner has gone viral, clocking up more than one million views on YouTube.

The six minute 45 second video of Tony Williams stripping, cleaning and reassembling the Rolex calibre 3135 was uploaded on the pre-owned luxury watch retailer’s YouTube channel in August 2013 and has, as of yesterday, clocked up 1,133,413 views.

The video, Inside the Rolex Submariner, is now the third most viewed video actually relating to Rolex watches on YouTube.
Watchfinder uploaded the video to ‘offer an explanation of the craftsmanship – and accompanying price tag – of high end watches’.

The video was shot by Watchfinder’s in-house team at the company’s dedicated ‘Time Services’ service centre in Kent. The company now employs more than 30 staff including five fully accredited watchmakers.

Since being uploaded the video has been posted on websites including Playboy, Esquire, RefindGuy and The Awesomer, now joined by WatchPro.com, and continues to accumulate hundreds of views every days.
