IN PICTURES: Chelsea stars come out for official opening of Hublot’s London flagship

Hublot’s CEO Ricardo Guadalupe was joined by sporting, television and catwalk stars to cut the ribbon for the flagship boutique that opened on London’s Bond Street this summer; the 92nd Hublot store in the world and the only one in the UK.

Mr Guadalupe used the occasion to announce that the watchmaker has signed a three year extension to its Official Timekeeper deal with Chelsea Football Club.

Chelsea players David Luiz, Olivier Giroud, Ross Barkley and Marcos Alonso joined Hublot for the official opening of its two storey 1,078 square feet boutique at the prestigious Southern end of Bond Street where it sits in a cluster including Chopard, Cartier, Rolex and Patek Philippe.

“After successful boutiques openings in New York, Geneva & Paris, we are delighted to be offering Hublot fans a mono brand boutique in the heart of New Bond Street. The brand has been represented in London for decades but this marks our first own-name boutique in the city confirms the importance of this market, while providing a springboard for all our UK activities. Our retail network currently comprises of 92 boutiques, strategic located within the world’s most prestigious shopping areas. Together, they are testament to the success of our brand and enable our customers to enjoy a full-immersion Hublot experience,” Mr Guadalupe said.

Other stars in attendance included England football manager Gareth Southgate, model Lara Stone, athlete Dina Asher-Smith, actress Amy Jackson, cricketer Nick Compton and Made in Chelsea cast member Ollie Proudlock.
