TAG Heuer opened doors to its Ibizan bolthole Villa Puig Redo this week, celebrating the launch of its new AQUARACER Black Titanium watch.
With a little help from global DJs and TAG Heuer ambassadors David Guetta and Martin Garrix, the brand’s CEO Jean-Claude Biver unveiled the new timepiece, followed by a surprise appearance from top La Liga footballers, among them Albert Luque, Michel Salgado, Joan Capdevila.
Biver, Guetta and Garrix then took on the TAG Heuer Football Challenge against a giant target in the shape of the Carrera Heuer 01 chronograph – a symbolic way to kick off the forthcoming football season.
Jean-Claude Biver said of the event: “Both the logo and our philosophy recognise TAG Heuer as the ‘Swiss Avant-Garde watchmaker since 1860’. This means that a link to the future and to younger generations is a necessary part of our DNA. I am very proud to have David Guetta and Martin Garrix as our ambassadors. They perfectly encapsulate the #DontCrackUnderPressure mindset and enable us to connect our brand to the youth of today, simply because they speak the same language.”
