The red arrows opening breitlings new bluewater store

IN PIC: Red Arrows at Breitling store celebration

Breitling latest store opening at Kent’s Bluewater shopping mall with an aviation-themed evening that saw the entire Red Arrows display team presented with new watches.

The daring aerobatic pilots of the RAF’s world-famous display team each received a Breitling Emergency II, the world’s first wristwatch with a dual frequency locator beacon, from Breitling UK managing director Gavin Murphy.

The Red Arrows were joined on the evening at the 1,500sq ft store, which is operated by Aurum in partnership with Breitling, by Red Bull Air Race champion pilot Nigel Lamb.

Following the official unveiling of the store, the VIP guests, who included celebrated explorers the Turner twins, were welcomed through a glazed façade by Breitling’s famous aerobatic Wingwalkers and the avionic sounds of DJs Dan Lywood and Ben Bridgwater. Guests enjoyed chilled Bollinger and delicious canapés before being invited to board the Breitling Simulator for their own chance to experience the thrill of jet flight.
