Hublot searches for design stars of the future

Hublot has launched a competition to find a star designer of the future as part of a celebration to mark 10 years since it launched its first Big Bang watch.

The LVMH brand considers the Big Bang one of its finest designs, and wants to use its anniversary to encourage the creativity of a new generation of artists.

“Hublot has decided to celebrate this anniversary by looking to the future and giving young talented designers an opportunity to gain recognition. As such, the prize will be awarded to the designer who distinguishes themselves through their boldness and creativity,” the company said.

World-renowned experts in the field of contemporary design have been selected to judge the competition including Pierre Keller, Lapo Elkann, Ronan Bouroullec, Marva Griffin Wilshire and Professor Dr. Peter Zec.

Designs will be judged in June, with a winner announced during Tokyo Design Week in October.
