Hublot 10th anniversary world tour comes to London

Hublot brought its Big Bang Grand Tour to London last night with the opening of an exhibition at Harrods as part of its continuing 10th anniversary celebrations of the design.

Hublot chief executive officer Ricardo Guadalupe joined the brand’s new UK brand director, Benoît Lecigne and special guest England football manager Roy Hodgson at the opening night at the world famous Knightsbridge department store.

Jason Broderick, fashion director of menswear, sports and fine watches says: “We are thrilled to host this exclusive Hublot exhibition celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Big Bang.

Harrods constantly strives for original and unique ways to engage with clients; Hublot as a brand, excels at this, making it the perfect partnership to create engaging and innovative retail theatre with exclusive product with a real point of difference.”

The exhibition includes never before seen features such as an interactive video screen which allows visitors to view a Hublot Unico movement from all angles and then pull it apart to explore all the components.

The Big Bang Grand Tour kicked off in April in Munich and will travel onto Paris, New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo after its run at Harrods comes to an end on June 28. Xavier Dietlin, the man behind many of Hublot’s most ingenious displays, was also in town to put the finishing touches to the exhibition.

Benoît Lecigne, brand director for Hublot United Kingdom and Ireland, said: “I am delighted that London has been chosen as the first stop on the ‘Big Bang Grand Tour’ and that it is taking place at Harrods in particular. To celebrate the 10th anniversary, Hublot has unveiled an interactive installation that opens the door to the world of Hublot”.

The exhibition is also showcasing three preview models; the Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon 5-day Power reserve Indicator Full Magic Gold, Big Bang “10 Years” Haute Joaillerie Full Baguettes Black Diamonds and the Classic Fusion All Black version 8 Days Power Reserve.
