Pawnbroking behemoth, H&T Pawnbrokers, is holding a free and independent valuations day on 19 September in Caterham.
The Saturday event will run from 9am to 4pm at Caterham Soper Town Hall, where a panel of valuation experts will be giving advice, background information on a wide range of items, including watches.
John Nichols, CEO of H&T Pawnbrokers, commented: “If you have ever wanted to know what that inherited item is worth, come along to our Valuations Day and find out. Our specialists have over 100 years’ experience in their fields, and also include a trained gemologist and a horologist.”
The store manager of H&T Pawnbrokers in West Croydon, David Whiting, is also looking forward to the valuation day. “We’ll be able to talk to you about what your valuable is made of, its history and saleability,” Whiting said. “You can take your item home with a better understanding of its background and value. Otherwise, you can choose to sell it or find out more about pawnbroking and how it works. Lots of people don’t realise that a pawnbroking loan can be a way to unlock the value within your asset and get access to cash – without selling your valuables.”
H&T Pawnbrokers will be raising money for Macmillan cancer charity on the day as well, as part of its ongoing fundraising efforts across its 190 UK stores.
