Houlden members network at summer getaway

Houlden Group welcomed 130 of its members to the group’s annual Summer Getaway in East Sussex to network and discuss industry developments.

The three-day event at the East Sussex National Golf Resort was opened with a member’s only business update from Houlden Group chief executive officer Stuart Laing. Later Houlden’s Vanessa Priest posed the question ‘Should Houlden Group go Consumer Facing?’.

Other presentations included introductions to Houlden’s One Click Marketing System and an update from DM London chairman David Coleridge on the Click and Collect collaboration between Watch Gallery and Houlden.

The event included a two-day supplier exhibition, allowing Houlden Group members a convenient location in which to meet with group suppliers, and culminated in a Great Gatsby themed dinner and party.

Houlden member Jim Hunter, of WB Gatward, said, "As always the Houlden Members’ Day was full of interesting topics and much to be gained from attending. The speakers were entertaining and we picked up on many good points. The social side was brilliant, we attended two evening events, and it was great to see people getting into the spirit of the Gatsby Evening.”
