Joe Walsh and Wendy Laing are the formidable power couple who have taken over the day-to-day running of Laings of Glasgow from Wendy’s father Stuart.
The handover from one generation to the next is never easy, but Joe and Wendy have already shown the empire is in safe hands by masterminding the addition of Panerai, Tudor and Chanel watches to the boutique’s already impressive line up of luxury watches.
The line up is now the envy of every retailer in Glasgow’s Argyll Arcade, where no fewer than 31 other retailers compete for the best watch brands and the customers they attract into their stores.
Joe and Wendy work tirelessly to ensure Laings is recognised as the number one destination for watches in Scotland.
“With our current collection and the planned addition for this year we will certainly be close to gaining that title,” they say.
Great brands are one thing, but it is customer service on which Laings reputation depends. “Each of our customers receive a five star service whether they shop in-store on online and as we continue to develop our product offerings and services we can continue to ensure an unforgettable experience for our current customers whilst introducing new customers to the world of Laings,” Joe and Wendy promise.
The pair chose Glasgow city centre as the location for their photo shoot as it is here that the Laings story began back in 1840.
The golf reference will be familiar to anybody who has played a round with the competitive couple at Houlden’s summer gathering, while the tiger graffiti in the background shows the creative flair of Glasgow that influences them, they explain.
