HOT 100 BRAND CHAMPIONS: Martin Pass, northern sales manager, Raymond Weil

“The main achievements of the last 12 months would be being part of a UK team that increased its turnover in what can only be described as the toughest trading period in retail that I have ever experienced,” says Raymond Weil northern sales manager Martin Pass.

In a year with so many highlights, and lows as well, Martin has enjoyed being part of a team that has overcome many challenges. On a personal level, Martin tributes training sessions as one of the driving factors continuing to push the company forward.

“You get so much from training sessions,” he explains. “The store staff can really experience the product and lasting relationships are made. If you can pass on your own passion and enthusiasm to the retail staff, throw in some product knowledge and confidence, you will see sales rise.

“The relationships with our retailers are so important, they are ultimately one of the main reasons as to how well your brand will sell through. I am so thankful for the hard work that our retail partners put into the Raymond Weil brand.”

Martin is really excited about the next three years as he believes the business is in great hands with Elie Bernheim, Raymond Weil’s grandson, at the helm.

For his Hot 100 photoshoot, Martin chose the Hydro in Glasglow as the venue has been important to Raymond Weil since the brand signed its official timing partnership agreement with both the Hydro and Manchester Arena.

He jokes: “I am sure Craig Leach [Raymond Weil brand director] would say I spend too much time there as it is strange that I’m always in Glasgow when there is a good gig on. What can I say, the brand loves music and so do I!”
