While many partnerships entering the watch industry do little more than pay lip service to the ideals of a new supporter, Raymond Weil’s partnership with Gibson has resulted in far more tangible evidence of the combined values of both companies.
The Nabucco Gibson, a limited edition of just 200 pieces, clearly demonstrates the aesthetic of Gibson’s work as a manufacturer of music instruments and amplifiers, in this case the self-tuning Gibson SG Standard guitar, whilst showcasing Raymond Weil’s skill in crafting timepieces that appeal to a wide range of customers.
The 46mm steel and titanium watch features a black galvanic dial with six grooves representing the strings of the guitar while Gibson’s own logo is placed above that of Raymond Weil’s.
Inside the watch is powered by a custom RW5010 automatic chronograph movement with 46-hour power reserve. The Nabucco Gibson breathes new life and renewed authenticity to Raymond Weil’s musical associations.
