Hermès brings concealed and bejewelled watches up-to-date in Médor Rock collection.

Early watchmakers were enthusiasts for concealing timekeepers in intricate jewellery, a technique that Hermès has brought up-to-date with the development of its ladies’ Médor Rock collection.

The watches have a pyramid-shaped lacquered stud worn on a leather strap that opens to reveal a 16mm square dial powered by a Swiss quartz movement.

The Médor Rock also shares history with hunting dog collars with pyramid studs that appeared in the 1930s onwards.

This year’s Médor Rock watch collection has three new versions fitted with a triple tour calfskin leather strap.

There are white, black, red or blue lacquer versions for 2018.
