Harrods to expand fine watch and jewellery offer

Harrods has announced plans to open a new fine jewellery room this winter, which will include a luxury watch offer.

Opening in November, the entirely new room will double the size of the existing fine jewellery offer, adding a further 5,000 square feet.

The new room will host new boutiques and additional new brands on the counter, which will offer customers an array of one-off timepieces. The London department store’s new room will house boutiques, including a Hermès stand-alone fine jewellery and watches boutique, which will offer a watch collection including a timepiece that is exclusive to Harrods.

Dior will also carry watches in its new enlarged boutique, while Piaget and Boucheron will also have a watch offering in their recently enlarged boutiques.

Returning French brand Chaumet, will also have a watch offering and other brands with watches in the fine jewellery room, include Chanel, Van Cleef & Arpels, Bulgari, Harry Winston, Cartier and Chopard.

Adjacent to the existing fine jewellery room, the new room is an extension of Harrods’ existing high jewellery offer and will carry the existing interior features of plush furnishings, including back-lit onyx panels and marble flooring, within light, elegant and feminine surroundings.

The new fine jewellery room is intended to elevate the fine jewellery retail experience at Harrods.

The new Fine Jewellery Room at Harrods opens in November 2013.
