Hamilton opens two-month Geneva retrospective

Hamilton has opened a watch exhibition in Geneva, recounting its 120 year history with 30 special timepieces including early Ventura models.

The exhibition will run until October 31 showcasing “watchmaking, historical and communication firsts in a display never before shown in Switzerland”.

The show will cover watches that reference land, sea and air and will include the world’s first battery-powered watch, the Hamilton Ventura, with one owned by Elvis taking pride of place.

The Hamilton Pulsar of 1973, the very first LED digital watch, will also be on show as one of its first technological triumphs.
