Green + Benz and Bering were the respective winners of the Company of Master Jewellers’ (CMJ) Retailer of the Year award and the Supplier of the Year award, which were announced at the UK Jewellery Conference in Birmingham, on Tuesday.
The CMJ Retailer of the Year award was presented to Helen Dimmick, managing director of Green+Benz, which recently started selling watches, while Bering Watches picked up the trophy for Supplier of the Year.
Speaking at the award ceremony in Birmingham, Dimmick said: "I can’t believe it and I’m absolutely thrilled. The support of CMJ suppliers means so much to me. It has been an incredibly turbulent year and I cannot thank CMJ suppliers enough for their support and belief – it means so much and hope they know I won’t let them down at Green + Benz."
Meanwhile Berings Supplier of the Year award was picked up by Stephen Todd, area sales manager. He commented: "We are so proud and honoured to be awarded Supplier of the Year by such a highly respected buying group. CMJ members have helped us become the brand we are today in the UK so we would like to thank them all for their on-going support and we hope this will encourage even more members to forge new relationships with Bering."
The Retailer of the Year was voted for by CMJ approved suppliers, while CMJ retailers voted for the Supplier of the Year, based on excellent customer service and training, outstanding product and commitment to the CMJ and its independent retailers.
