Graff Diamonds has a reputation for prestigious watches, but it will leave nobody in doubt about its passion for the world’s most precious gems when it reveals The Fascination timepiece on day one of Baselworld tomorrow.
The extraordinary watch uses 152.96 carats of fine white diamonds, including a unique 38.13 carat D flawless pear shape diamond.
It is valued at $40 million by the jewellery and watch company, but, as Graff points out, you get three exquisite pieces for the price of one because the 38 carat diamond can be detached from the watch and mounted as the centrepiece of a highly sculptural bracelet or placed into a bespoke shank and worn as a ring. The bracelet can be worn with or without a watch face.
“The Fascination is truly unique and joins our roll call of important jewels, which are among the rarest and most sought after stones ever uncovered. It is a true celebration of our diamond mastery,” said Graff founder and chairman Laurence Graff.
“We are inspired by the rarest and most precious diamonds – their influence is evident throughout everything we do. The Fascination is an outstanding piece, carefully crafted so it can be worn in a number of different ways – adding a touch of magic to the jewel,” Mr Graff continued.
“It perfectly encapsulates the ethos of our business, from sourcing the very finest diamonds, uncovering their potential through our cutting and polishing divisions, pushing the boundaries of design, meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail – resulting in the creation of the most fabulous jewels in the world.”
