Giorgio Fedon launches latest astronaut watch

Giorgio Fedon, the designer of a space watch for use by astronauts on board the SpaceTek Space Station, has launched its new model incorporating meteorite on the dial at Baselworld 2015.

Former NASA Astronaut, Clayton Anderson, works as a brand ambassador at Giorgio Fedon providing technical input on the features desired by astronauts in space. Now retired from NASA, Clayton’s experience as an astronaut includes 152 days on the International Space Station and six spacewalks totaling 38 hours. He is publishing his autobiography next year.

Established in 1919 as a luxury leather goods house, Giorgio Fedon expanded its luxury line to include high quality watches in 2011. Fedon time pieces are manufactured by MCW LLC and headed by Hong Kong-based businessman Ramesh Jhnunjhnuwala, he said: “we are excited by our association with the space industry and the opportunity to be one of the few brands to incorporate unique materials from space in the form of meteorite.”

Giorgio Fedon operates in over 30 countries and has seven flagship stores around the globe. The brand is synonymous with elegance and practicality.
