Hailing a Black Cab in London has never been easier, thanks to a taxi app that has written new software specifically for Android Wear smartwatches.
GetTaxi has released the smartphone specific app that enables users of Google’s Android Wear-based products to book a licensed Black Cab in London simply by saying “Ok Google, call a car” into their smartwatch.
The smartwatch provides the user’s location to the service and keeps them informed of the driver’s distance and estimated time of arrival. The app also allows for automatic payment and allows the user to set destination address and rate the driver.
The new app, available to download on the Google Play store, now means Londoners no longer even need to reach into their pocket to book a taxi.
