“As a long-time leader in GPS-enabled wearables, Garmin continues to transform the aviator watch market with a unique feature set that appeals to a broad spectrum of aviation enthusiasts and pilots alike,” said Carl Wolf, Garmin vice president of aviation sales and marketing.

“From pre-flight to post-flight, the D2 Charlie is one of the most versatile aviator watches that combines exclusive feature and design qualities from our popular Fenix 5 multisport watch series, alongside exclusive aviation functions to deliver the most sophisticated and connected aviator watch on the market today.”

When the D2 Charlie is paired with Garmin Connect on a connected mobile device, customers can view weather radar on top of the map display relative to flight plan information. To easily access local weather radar, pilots can press and hold the direct-to and down buttons.

Pilots can also overlay estimated time en-route (ETE), universal coordinated time (UTC) or other pilot-selectable data fields overtop the map.

D2 Charlie offers a bold design made of premium materials, including a sapphire scratch-resistant crystal lens and a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coated titanium bezel for improved durability.
