Frederique Constant has introduced Ladies’ models among the second generation of Horological Smartwatches.

The collection launched in New York yesterday with Frederique Constant’s global charity brand ambassador Gwyneth Paltrow, putting the watch through its paces in an aerobic step class supporting youth education charity DonorsChoose.org.

The new FC Horological Smartwatch collection is the first to use the latest smartwatch movements developed by Manufacture Modules Technologie (MMT), a Swiss company established inside Frederique Constant’s Geneva headquarters in 2015, but which became an independent developer since the acquisition of Frederique Constant by Citizen.

Creating a smartwatch in a feminine 34mm case has been a challenge, particularly fitting a battery into the timepiece that will deliver an acceptable amount of time between charges.

Frederique Constant and MMT have cracked both problems with the development of the MMT SwissConnect-designed Ladies MMT-281 quartz module, which is small enough to fit into the 34mm case, and manages over 2 years of battery life, mainly because the watches don’t have a power-hungry smartwatch screen. They look like traditional Swiss watches, and most of the smart information is displayed on a connected mobile phone app.

The second generation of FC Horological Smartwatches manage additional intelligent features, despite the smaller form. These include:

A new notifications feature that sends a notification to the watch whenever you receive an SMS or chat message as well as calls from your contact numbers.

Activity tracking keep track of daily steps, calories burned, and total distance.

Sleep tracking provides details on how much time you spent in deep sleep, light sleep, or awake.

Always On-Time & Date: You never have to set a time and date – traveling across time zones, the Horological Smartwatch picks up the time from your smartphone and displays new time automatically.

Sleep Cycle Alarm: Set a smart sleep alarm that will help you to wake up at the best appropriate time in your sleep cycle so that you wake up refreshed.

Get-Active Alerts: Set an alert to remind you to move if you’ve been idle for a set amount of time; you can customize your Get Active Alerts directly through the MMT-365 app.

Dynamic Coaching: Receive suggestions, tips, and information catered specifically to you based on your activity and sleep goals.

Cloud back-up and restore: Recover all of your data, even if you lose your watch or phone. The Horological Smartwatch independently stores your activity and sleep for 30 days without having to synchronize it to your smartphone. A great way to collect and keep your data on-the-go!

Worldtimer 24 time zones: Frequent traveler? Keep track of your hometown’s time by simply entering your city into the app. You’ll always be able to know instantly when is the ideal time to call your loved ones or business partners back home.

A new MMT-365 app that connects to the smartwatch via Bluetooth is available on both iOS and Android systems, with simple and easy-to-understand graphics to highlight how much one has moved and slept during the day, week or month.

Argentina Fine Products, which distributes Frederique Constant in the UK says the first delivery of both ladies and gents editions of the new collection will be at the end of November, and the rest by mid-December.

Prices for the new gents models start at £780 up, rising to £ 1,220 for a rose gold plated edition.

Ladies pieces start at £720, increasing to £ 1,260 for a rose gold plated model with diamonds.
