Fossil Group launches network for independents

Fossil Group is concentrating efforts to support independent retailers with a new service network.

A new dedicated team of Independent Sales Representatives has been in place since January and are covering smaller areas whilst managing fewer brands to offer a more focused service.

The group has also introduced an office-based Customer Care Team available via email and telephone from Monday-Friday during office hours when sales representatives are unavailable.

The reorganisation has been taken to support independent retailers in the light of Fossil Group’s decision to introduce Selective Distribution Contracts last year, taken to “ensure brand-right environments”.

Jacqui Foers, Trading Director at Fossil Group, states: “Fossil Group is aware that the roll out of Selective Distribution Contracts in 2013 caused some concern within the market place for independent retailers. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone for their patience and understanding during this period. As part of our long term strategy we will work closely with our independent partners of the future to ensure strong growth in 2014 and beyond, honouring historic commercial terms through increased strength of direct relationships. We recognise the huge potential we have with independent retailers and have introduced personnel and procedures to make certain we are supporting our partners as best we can, both ‘on the road’ and in-house. We can now also fully assist with visual merchandising and training needs.”
