Essex luxury watch heist lands criminal with a 12 year jail sentence

Chelmsford Crown Court has handed down a 12 year jail sentence to a man who raided a pre-owned luxury watch shop in Essex.

Luxe Watches in Buckhurst Hill was attacked in January this year by Joshua Jordan-Rose, who posed as a customer before the robbery.

The court heard how Mr Jordan-Rose and an unnamed accomplice had made an appointment to visit the boutique on January 10 and asked to look at pre-owned Rolexes.

He was being served by the store’s owner Nicolas Jadlowski when Mr Jordan-Rose appeared to reach under his coat for a gun.

Mr Jadlowski escaped into the back office, raised an alarm, and activated a glass security door that locked the robbers in the store.

The pair used hammers to smash their way into display cabinets and grab watches worth £110,000 and then break their way through the shop’s security door.

Mr Jordan-Rose was identified by police and arrested two days later. He pleaded guilty to the robbery in March and sentenced this week to a 12 year jail sentence.
