Entrepreneur seeking finance for wooden watch collection

A Worcestershire-based entrepreneur has unveiled a Kick Starter campaign to bring a watch collection, starring natural wood, to market.

The Hanbury collection, which was designed and created by 24-year-old Paul Masters, features 100% natural woods as the watch face, alongside stainless steel and sapphire crystal glass.

The range, which is currently available in Blackwood, Rosewood and Silverwood, use Swiss ronda movements.

Each natural wood dial is treated with a specially selected blend of organic oils and waxes to enhance the unique individual grain and permanently seal and preserve the dial.

The entrepreneur, who is currently looking to raise £10,000 with his Kick Starter campaign, will individually number and engrave the first 250 units sold.

Masters commented: “My passion for design, and inner entrepreneurship took me to the next step and for the last two years I’ve been developing a new generation of luxury watches that are a fusion of wood and steel.

“This is just the start for Hanbury and it’s already been an amazing experience. Backing my campaign will give me the opportunity to continue telling the story and launch this innovative and unique brand.”

Masters, who founded the project in January this year, is looking to start production in December and deliver products to backers by February 2018.

  1. Oh sure!! why not it will be my pleasure to be a part of your success. I always believe that if someone has strong determination towards his work then the hard work will never go in vain. In just a single word I will say that “Old Is Gold”. I respect your decision and will always be there for anything. I already used it before and I am so touched by its looks and design. Right now I wear one wooden watch which I bought one famous shop (Lux Woods). It’s so comfortable and looks dashing while we wear it.
