Being eco-friendly has never been more en vogue so it makes sense for a watch brand like Mondaine to produce a timepiece made with sustainable materials.

The aesthetic is unmistakably Mondaine and not a huge departure from its popular core collection, but where the parts of the watch have been sourced is all new.
The watch case contains a castor oil called Rizinus, which is cultivated from the seeds of the tropical ‘wonder tree.’
Meanwhile the strap is based on natural rubber and the packaging itself is a multi-purpose pouch made from recycled bottles.
Environmentally friendly, comfortable to wear and lovely to look at — the £149 Mondaine essence will have its competitors green with envy.
