Dreweatts auction includes Patek, Genta and Rolex

 

Dreweatts & Bloomsbury auctioneers is holding a sale of Fine & Unusual Watches at its London salesroom in Mayfair next week.

The auctioneer will put 74 lots – including watches, clocks and timepieces – up for sale on Thursday 27 November.

 

Lots include a Gerald Genta, Fantasy Retro Disney, gentleman’s stainless steel wristwatch from 1990. The watch (Lot 322, est £2,000-3,000) features a mother of pearl dial painted with Donald Duck with rise and fall golf club minute hand and jump hour aperture. The lot includes Gerald Genta box, guarantee and booklet.

Bidders will also no doubt be attracted to a 34mm gentleman’s platinum Patek Philippe Ref. 2573/2 wristwatch from 1963 (Lot 339, est £1,500-£2,000). The watch features a three-piece case with flared lugs, silvered dial with baton markers and hands and small seconds dial with a cal.23-300 18 jewel Patek Philippe movement.

An 18ct white gold 40mm Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona from 2005 (Lot 364, est £3,000-£5,000) is also sure to prove popular. The watch features a black dial with eight cut diamond dot markers, baton hands, sub dials for running seconds, chronograph hours and minutes with black strap and 18ct gold deployment clasp.
