Djokovic straps on new Seiko Astron Dual-Time

Seiko has celebrated its association with the world’s No.1 tennis player Novak Djokovic with a Limited Edition of the brand’s new Astron Dual-Time collection.

Over the last 12 months Djokovic has travelled to 20 tournaments in 20 cities in 12 countries which, without his current Seiko Astron GPS Solar chronograph, would have required 60 individual time adjustments. With the watch on his wrist all that was required was a single button press on arrival at his destination.

Djokovic will now be using the new Astron Dual-Time series, which offers a new calibre and simplified dial design, and features a limited edition model designed with him in mind.

The new calibre displays not only the ‘away’ time but the ‘home’ time on a 12-hour sub dial with separate AM/PM indication. Day of the week is displayed via a retrograde display at the two o’clock position with date – remaining correct until Feb 28 2100 – at the four o’clock.

The Seiko Astron Dual-Time Novak Djokovic, limited to 3,000 pieces, features rose gold tone highlights, black ceramic bezel, brown dial and crocodile leather strap. Each watch features a serial number, Djokovic’s signature on the caseback and is offered in a special presentation box with a personal message from the tennis star. The watch will be available worldwide this autumn with a European RRP of 1,950 Euros (£1,430).
