Distributor Since 1853 ceases trading

Preston-based watch distributor Since 1853 Ltd has ceased trading after becoming insolvent.

A meeting of creditors will be held in Sheffield tomorrow morning pursuant to Section 98 of the Insolvency Act 1986.

The company, founded by brothers John and Peter Carmichael in 2007, has handled UK distribution for brands including REC, Panzera, iTime, Torgoen, Wryst, Avio Milano, Boxer Milano, Montres de Luxe, Byblos, Revue Thommen (now represented in the UK by OneTime Distribution) and Grovana during the last seven years.

Gareth David Rusling of Sheffield-based P&A Partnership will act as insolvency practitioner, providing information concerning the company’s affairs.
