Dior is holding a pop-up exhibition of its Grand Bal watches at its New Bond Street, London, boutique this week.
Grand Bal timepieces are intricately jewelled and styled to capture the look, opulence and emotion of a woman wearing a Christian Dior ball gown.
Their oscillating weights are inspired by the twirling of a gown worn to a glamorous ball, one of Christian Dior’s personal passions, according to the company.
“Events of this order are true works of art. They are desirable, necessary and important if they restore the taste and meaning of authentic celebrations” Mr Dior wrote in his memoirs.
Alongside the watches, the exhibition features several minatures of haute couture dresses designed by the couturier and the maison’s current design team.
The exhibition runs until May 2.
