de Grisogono ditches Baselworld in favour of a private exhibition in Geneva alongside SIHH

de Grisogono will show its 2019 collections in a private exhibition in the Royal Suite at the Four Seasons Hotel in Geneva in January.

Swiss luxury jeweller and watchmaker de Grisogono has become the latest major brand to turn its back on Baselworld.

The company, which was founded in Geneva in 1993, has exhibited at Baselworld for 18 out of its 25 years.

“Baselworld has played a fundamental role in growing our wholesale business over the last 18 years,” says Gianluca Maina, chief marketing officer of de Grisogono.

“We are now looking to build the future of the brand, along with our strategic wholesale partners. A private stand-alone exhibition illustrates this change and will allow us to bring an innovative approach to this important unveiling moment. We look forward to presenting a significant number of new collections, ranging from fine jewellery to timepieces,” he adds.

Replacing Baselworld for de Grisogono will be a private exhibition in the Royal Suite at the Four Seasons Hotel in Geneva that will run from January 13th to 18th, 2019.

SIHH, which is rapidly becoming just a part of a wider watch week in Geneva in 2019, runs from January 14-17.
