IN PICS: Corum turns up the volume on reborn Bubble

Corum is rounding out its newly reborn Bubble collection with three new and familiarly loud designs.

Corum Bubble watch collection was known for a raft of ostentatious dial designs released in limited runs in its heyday in the early years of the 21st century. When the model was relaunched this year it was a much more sober affair, presented in black and bronze PVD limited editions as well as a series run skeleton model.

Now Corum has presented three new designs that will appeal to fans of the original Bubble designs.

The Bubble Paiste and two Op Art models now mean the collection offers a greater range of looks.

Industrial designer Nicolas Le Moigne has created two new 3D dial designs which interact with the Bubble’s extremely convex, 8mm high crystal to create Op Art or Optical Art. The Op Art, known as Bubble Sphere2 and Bubble Drop, will be limited to 350 pieces each.

The Bubble Paiste sees Corum partner with world-renowned Swiss cymbal maker Paiste. The dial of the watch is an exact, miniature version of a Paiste cymbal. Just like their cymbals, each dial is hand-finished meaning each watch will be unique.
