CMJ launches new consumer website to promote members

The Company of Master Jewellers has launched a new consumer-facing website designed to promote the watch and jewellery brands and retailers it represents.

The new site, which can be found at www.masterjewellers.co.uk, includes a search facility to help shoppers track down their nearest retailer or brand store by postcode. The website also features brand profiles of all CMJ retail members and brands.

“We see this as an opportunity to deliver additional benefit to retailers and suppliers who are part of CMJ,” said chief executive Willie Hamilton. “As consumers’ use of web searches become more sophisticated, we want to ensure that when they are looking for a master jeweller or specific brand, they can rely on the assurance of the CMJ to know they are looking at a trusted brand.”

Other facilities include online news pages featuring stories from CMJ retailers and CMJ approved supplier brands; buying guides that include features on seasonal jewellery styles, watch guides, advice on buying diamonds, hallmarking, taking out jewellery insurance and jewellery repairs.

The slick new website, which was designed and developed for CMJ by Design Unique and iSynergy, acts as an online showcase for all members and suppliers. Both brands and retailers have direct control of their pages on the new site to allow regular updates to keep the site’s content topical and fresh.
