Citizen launches global campaign targeting jetset

Citizen is launching into a global campaign to present its new Satellite Wave F100 model to travellers around the world.

The Eco-Drive watch lays claim to being the fastest automatically adjusting satellite reception watch on the planet and has already been the subject of a short film, Chasing Horizons, which charts a Citizen-commissioned flight to follow a continuous sunset by flying against the earth’s rotation.

In the UK, Citizen has secured all T5 wayfinding beacons advertising positions at Heathrow which boasts an annual footfall of 26 million travellers. Launching this week, Citizen’s F100 will sit in these prime high traffic positions throughout November and December.

Chasing Horizons will also be played on all British Airways inbound and outbound long haul flights throughout November and December adding a further 2 million views.

Advertisements will run in British Airway’s inflight magazine, Highlife, during this period with a potential readership of 350,000 as well as an integrated digital campaign also with BA.

Further afield the campaign will feature online and through global news media such as The New York Times and at all other major airport hubs including Tokyo, Osaka, Singapore, Frankfurt and New York.

Beyond the airport hub, the Eco-Drive Satellite Wave F100 will be featured and advertised in all the popular consumer men’s interest magazines as well as being brought to life via Citizen’s Chasing Horizons film on the big screen at Premiership Rugby matches as part of its recently signed two-year sponsorship deal.
