Citizen giveaways count down to rugby final

Citizen has launched a series of competitions in the run up to the Aviva Premiership Rugby Final at the end of May.

Citizen Watch UK, which is official timekeeper of Premiership Rugby, will be offering Final tickets, signed shirts, balls and a watch in the run up to the final on May 30th, at which it will randomly include five lucky tickets inside match day programmes. Each recipient of the lucky ticket will win a Citizen Eco-Drive watch worth up to £350.

Citizen will reach up to two million people with the campaign, which will be driven by social media and online advertising. It is thought that Citizen’s collaboration with Premiership Rugby’s social media platforms will reach a further 250,000, whilst the 82,000 fans inside Twickenham on the day will see Citizen’s LED displays and stadium clock and onscreen branding shown during the game to be televised on BT Sport.

Citizen signed a two-year sponsorship deal with Premiership Rugby in August 2014. As part of the partnership, Citizen receives branding on premiership Rugby stadium perimeter boards and stadium clocks as well as on-screen TV branding for all Aviva Premiership Rugby matches and ownership of the ‘Try of the week and month’ featured in ITV Sport highlights show.

To date, Citizen has reached over 14 million UK rugby fans through a combination of match attendance, TV and online engagement, with supplementary international reach to over 150 countries including all major rugby playing nations, which equates to 100 million households.
