Luxury watch retailer Chronext was surveying the damage at its store this morning after falling victim to a smash-and-grab raid just six months after Flying Squad detectives prevented a similar incident happening.
The Metropolitan Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the raid, which took place at the Piccadilly boutique yesterday morning.
Police were called at around 11:00 to reports of men on mopeds smashing windows and taking items at the shop.
Four people on two mopeds made off from the scene with a “quantity of goods”. Police have not revealed the value of the stolen goods or the brand of watches they made of with.
There were no reports of any injuries.

Back in August, WatchPro reported how the Flying Squad thwarted a raid on Chronext following a pre-planned intelligence led operation.
Four Flying Squad officers were injured during the arrest phase of the operation as the gang attempted to flee the scene on two mopeds after bidding to make off with a haul of luxury watches. Four men were taken into custody as a result of the operation.
Chronext is largely an online platform for the sale and purchase of luxury watches. Customers can buy watches, sell watches, or call on a range of services for the maintenance of their timepieces.
