Christopher Ward launches new divers’ model

British watch brand Christopher Ward has launched its latest divers’ collection, the C11 Makaira Pro 500 – a watch than has been tested to 500m, under pressures of 735 pounds per square inch.

The timepieces are named after marlin fish – Atlantic Blue, Black and Indo-Pacific Blue – said to bo the fastest and strongest fish in the world. The watch in return is said to be “one of the finest, strongest and most striking dive watches”.

The C11 Makaira Pro 500 is water resistant to 500m with a satin brushed 42mm marine-grade stainless steel case, with a self-winding Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement.

The watch has a date and a choice of white, orange or blue SuperLuminova indexes, bezel markings and distinctively wide hands – for extra visibility at extreme depths.

The C11’s has its backplate engraved with a raised image of a marlin and Sub Caerula Oceanus – Latin for Under the deep blue ocean.

Each watch has its own individual serial number and is available with either a stainless steel strap with divers’ extensions or with a high-grade rubber.
