Chopard reveals in-house movement chronographs

Chopard has launched is first ever house movements, designed, developed and assembled in-house at the Fleurier Ebauches workshops.

The brand has equipped its Superfast collection of automatic timepieces with the movements, across its Superfast Automatic, Superfast Power Control and Superfast Chrono models.

The SuperFast collection has been created in homage to thrill-seeking sports-car drivers, with Chopard a partner of many famous car races including the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique and the Mille Miglia rally.

The new Superfast models feature 18ct gold cases, double sapphire crystals and are water resistant to 100m. The Chopard house movements have been produced in the Fleurier Ebauches workshops, a company founded by Chopard in July 2008 in Fleurier, in order to produce in-house movements for the brand.

The brand is now able to produce 5,000 movements, with this figure expected to rise to 15,000 movements per year by 2015.
