Dartmouth Brands’ Avi-8 brand has updated its iconic Flyboy range with the Flyboy Camouflage.
Camouflage has long been synonymous with air conflict, using different shades of colours that mimic the terrain that battle planes fly over in order to remain elusive.
It is this elusiveness that Avi-8 uses as inspiration for its Flyboy camouflage collection. The dial face matches the strap while the hour indices on the dial come together on the watch with complete clarity against the various shades and tones present.
Meanwhile the strap is a blend of cotton canvas with an underlining of leather in solid colour, which echoes the aircraft that would be camouflaged on the top but painted in solid colours on the bottom as a contrast.
The timepieces are made out of solid stainless steel, while under the bonnet it’s powered by a Miyota automatic movement.
