Briston gives golden treatment to its vintage Clubmaster collection

Briston has introduced a vintage gold edition to its Clubmaster collection.

The new models have rose gold or yellow gold PVD-coated cases housing Miyota quartz movements.

They have silver-white or black dials with polished applied indexes presenting hours, minutes and small second at 6 o’clock. There is a chronograph and a non-chronograph model in the collection.

The signature Briston cushion-shaped tortoiseshell acetate bezel measures 40x40mm.

The Clubmaster Vintage in gold is sold with interchangeable flannel or NATO straps.

Briston describes itself as a French brand born out of a very British spirit. Its founder Brice Jaunet studied in Oxford before spending 15 years working in the Swiss watch industry and then striking out on his own.

The brand is inspired by the dreaming spires of Oxford and Cambridge. “From boat races gliding past cricket pitches and polo fields, this sporty chic spirit has been the epitome of British style since Queen Victoria. This chic yet casual lifestyle and its occasional quirkiness was a great inspiration. It is this spirit, combined with its watchmaking DNA, that gives Briston its unique style. Working with innovative materials, such as cellulose acetate, and colours give Briston watches their distinctive look,” the company describes.

Briston is distributed by The Blue Company in the UK. It is currently stocked by Selfridges, CW Sellors, Wave Jewellery and a number of online retailers including WatchShop and First Class Watches.
