Bremont to open second London boutique

Bremont Watch Company’s ascent is continuing with the announcement that the British brand plans to open its second boutique in London at The Royal Exchange.

This planned boutique opening follows the success of Bremont’s Mayfair boutique, which opened its doors in 2012, and the company’s first international boutique in Hong Kong, which opened in September. Bremont is not currently represented by any City of London retailers so a spokesperson said that The Royal Exchange location will provide excellent retail coverage for the brand.

Bremont co-founder Giles English said: “We predominantly sell through prestigious retailers but unlike most watch brands, where the
bulk of their UK revenues are generated in London, we are the opposite and most of our sales come from regions outside London.

As a result we have been looking to increase the opportunity for people to see our watches in the capital and The Royal Exchange is the ideal location. As we have done with our Mayfair boutique, the idea is to let people really experience our watches in an environment where they can discover everything about our company and the impact that we are having on English watchmaking.”

Also talking about the new shop, co-founder Nick English added: “Based on the recent opening of our state of the art boutique in Hong Kong, Giles and I have been working hard to improve the design and functionality of our boutiques with the introduction of new technology whilst retaining the personal and approachable touch for which Bremont has become renowned. The result of having our own boutiques not only provides a wonderful customer experience but also has a beneficial halo effect on our wholesale market.”

The Royal Exchange has welcomed the brand and Keith Wilson of Wilson McHardy, acting for The Royal Exchange, said: “The Royal Exchange is delighted to welcome award winning British watch brand Bremont to the Courtyard at The Royal Exchange. Already renowned for its watch and fine jewellery offer, the addition of Bremont underlines the venue as the city’s number one destination for the purchase of timepieces and the natural destination for the thousands of city workers who admire and collect watches.”
