Bremont has expanded its partnership with Chivas Regal whisky, producing a limited edition watch for charity as well as collaborating on a dual-branded gift tin that will go on sale around the globe.
Bremont has produced 12 Chivalry Limited Edition watches, ten of which will be auctioned off for charities around the globe. In the UK, one watch will be auctioned online with all funds going to the Prince’s Trust Enterprise Programme, which provides young unemployed people with financial assistance in launching their own businesses. Two of the Chivalry watches have been reserved for Bremont and Chivas Regal museums.
The individually numbered automatic watches feature a ring of oak taken from one of Chivas’ whisky casks and are each presented in a leather pouch with engraved copper plate, taken from a retired Scotch whisky still. The handsome chronographs features the signature of company founders James and John Chivas and a subtly embossed Chivas crest on the dial.
Nick English, Co-Founder of Bremont adds: “Our collaboration with Chivas is a genuine meeting of minds. We are all dedicated and passionate about keeping artisan traditions in excellence alive and we are also focused upon leaving a positive legacy. My brother Giles and I spent time at the Chivas distillery in Strathisla with Master Blender Colin Scott and we wanted to create something very special and evocative. If you were to remove the back of the collector’s timepiece the delicious fragrance of Scotch blended whisky would emanate, for example.
“It’s a chronograph watch combining a face display with a stopwatch and is ‘Tested Beyond Endurance’ as all Bremont pilot watches are. It’s a classic, elegant style that would work in any stylish Modern Gentleman’s wardrobe and Chivas and Bremont are very proud to donate the proceeds of this auction to a worthwhile cause”.
The second half of the 2014 collaboration between Bremont and Chivas Regal has seen 2.5million ‘Chivas 12 Made for Gentlemen by Bremont’ limited edition gift tins produced, featuring an interlocking design of embossed Bremont watch parts and containing a bottle of Chivas 12 whisky and will go on sale this month.
Bremont is the third British brand to have collaborated on special Chivas Made for Gentlemen gift tins, with previous editions from cobbler Tim Little and tailor Patrick Grant.
The online auction of a Bremont Chivalry watch will be carried out at www.chivas.com/bremont between October 22 and November 9.
