Bremont appoints former Links of London MD as group chief executive officer

Bremont has appointed Gareth Morris as group chief executive officer.

Mr Morris has previously been managing director at fashion house Hackett and jeweller Links of London, which was created and then sold by Bremont chairman John Ayton, MBE.

“I have worked alongside Gareth in the past and am delighted to again. He is an extremely capable leader who will help us realise the exciting future that awaits us,” said Mr Ayton (pictured above).

Bremont is best-known as a family business co-founded by Nick and Giles English, but its global expansion has prompted the British company to strengthen its executive team.

The company has distribution in over 20 countries, two of its own manufacturing facilities , four of its own boutiques, and partnerships with the likes of Jaguar, Boeing and the America’s Cup.

This prompted the board of directors to bring in an individual with Morris’s track record and pedigree to help manage the Company’s growth ambitions, the company said.

“The growth of Bremont over the past ten years has been incredibly exciting and very involved. Giles and I are thrilled to be welcoming someone of Gareth’s experience, especially within the luxury sector, into the role as CEO. Working closely alongside Giles and myself Gareth will manage Bremont’s development into a major global player in the luxury watch industry,” explained Nick English, Bremont co-founder.

Mr Morris, who begins work with Bremont today (April 4) added: “This is such an incredible opportunity. Bremont is a truly authentic British luxury brand passionate about watch making on these shores. Although British, it is very much international in its outlook, and I look forward to helping develop and grow the business with Nick, Giles and the board.”
